Our Principals

Shawn Alexander

Shawn Alexander | Architect

My passion for architecture began when I was a teenager. I was fascinated with forms, images and spatial relationships. Having practiced architecture for nearly 30 years I have developed an appreciation for the intrinsic connection between architecture and the people who interact with it every day. I strive to translate client goals to design which infuses people with an uplifting sense of enjoyment and an appreciation of moments in time.

Cory Creath

Cory Creath | Architect

My passion for architecture is derived from a deep rooted desire to have a positive impact on the world around us. It is the complex interplay between what is possible and what is practical that I find so appealing and compelling about this profession. I strive to understand our client's goals and bring projects to reality that are the best they can be. In order to do this, we team with people with similar passions and we dedicate ourselves to continuous learning to stay on top of this fascinating and ever-changing world we live in.

Architecture and the planet are bound together by the doings of man. One may say that architects have been "paternal" in their approach to caring for the earth. They have employed guidelines to "govern" their approach when tending to nature's needs rather than "maternal" in their nurturing and cognizance of earths essential needs to guarantee its growth and sustenance. I see my charge, in our efforts at AXIS, is to be ever cognizant of the ultimate good that may result from our actions as we design and build tomorrow.
