Situated in Los Angeles’ vibrant Design District, the La Peer hotel by the Kimpton Hotel Group is the latest Southern Californian hospitality project AXIS/GFA has helped bring to life. Working as executive architects, and in collaboration with design architects Moule & Polyzoides and Gulla Jonsdottir Architecture & Design, AXIS/GFA designed the La Peer Hotel to be an unmistakable product of its West Hollywood environment. From furnishings and artwork from L.A.-based designers and artists to the architectural layout of the hotel’s interior and exterior spaces, which mindfully emulate the intimate interiors of the nearby courtyard homes, the La Peer hotel is an authentic representation of the city it services—and a boutique destination in the WeHo area.

The La Peer hotel features 105 creatively designed rooms with high end custom finishes, including suites, balconies, terraces, planters, and private planters—all culminating with the truly spectacular, 1,600 square foot Presidential Suite. The main level restaurant and bar with indoor, outdoor, and private dining areas is adjacent to a spacious pool deck, which sits between a second pavilion style bar and lounge on one side and a fitness center opposite. A meeting room, screening room, and large roof top terrace round out the unique amenities, providing a complete experience for the hotel’s guests. Meanwhile, a dramatic porte-cochere and colonnade greet guests as they arrive, making a strong first impression that is enhanced in every thoughtful detail of the space.
