Hyatt House San Jose Cupertino Hotel Design

The Hyatt House San Jose / Cupertino is an extended-stay hotel that offers guests more than just a place to rest. The façade blends seamlessly into its environment, with on-site and off-site amenities that enhance the long-stay aspect of the hotel and provide both comfort and convenience right in the middle of Silicon Valley.

Location:

San Jose, California

Client:

KCR Development

Scale:

148 extended-stay rooms over 5 stories

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the upbeat LEED Silver certified Hyatt House San Jose / Cupertino serves the nearby tech industry with 148 extended stay guestrooms. This beautifully executed project by AXIS/GFA’s Los Angeles studio is a 5-story, modern-styled, business class hotel featuring 3,000 square feet of meeting space. On the exterior, an alluring combination of roof lines and materials creates a façade that mimics the welcoming appearance of a row of modern high-end apartments lining a city block. And on the interior, guest suites are fully appointed with separate bedrooms and fully functional kitchens that feature stainless steel appliances, luxurious tile backsplashes, and granite-inspired countertops.

Completing the experience is a fitness center, extensive pool deck, and landscaping, which rounds-out the upscale feel of the hotel. Equally important are the indoor/outdoor dining and event terraces, which lend a strong pedestrian connection to the much traveled Stevens Creek Trail and Perimeter Road—both enhancing the many active transportation activities in Cupertino and adding to the long-stay aspect of the hotel. Guests can also enjoy dining and shopping options at the adjacent Vallco Mall.

The Hyatt House San Jose / Cupertino was developed by KCR Development, with operations by Prism Hotels & Resorts, construction by South Bay Construction, and interior design expertise provided by Linda Snyder Associates.
