With groundbreaking late last month, AXIS Architecture + Design is pleased to announce construction has commenced on one of the firm’s latest hotel architectural design projects – the Courtyard by Marriott in Santa Cruz, California.
Building from-the-ground-up in the footprint previously occupied by three budget hotels, AXIS’ design for the Courtyard by Marriott will ultimately incorporate 150 guestrooms spanning four floors, all framed by decorative arches, domes, and balustrades in keeping with the aesthetic of the nearby Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
The development for San Jose’s Lotus Management Inc. is planned to open in the spring of 2018.
